Much as she was loathe to admit it, Nel had been somewhat worried at Albel's absence; she had faith in his fighting abilities, that much was true, but it was healing him that was her main concern. What if he'd been injured, and hadn't been able to make it back to the surface properly? What if he'd bled to death? Things had been so much easier before she... before she'd had to care.

Nel chewed her lip nervously as she waited for Albel to return to the room. She'd promised to sleep close to him tonight to try and ease his nightmares, but she couldn't help but feel... awkward. She was already changed and ready for bed, wearing a long, thick nightdress, having already washed and prepared herself for bed.

Nel sat on one of the wooden benches at the side of the training ground, nervously glancing up every minute or so to see if her date training partner had arrived yet. Although the weather was pleasantly warm and sunny, it wasn't unbearably hot, although she had chosen to sit beneath the shade of one of the many trees to wait for her opponent. At her side lay a wicker basket covered with a red and white cloth, the packed lunch which she'd brought along with her. After all, they'd need some refreshment when they'd finished sparring.

This will take some getting used to. Fayt has been teaching me how to use this board of keys which makes words appear on the - how do I describe it? - glowing tapestry in front of me which moves... there is so much to learn. But if it will aid the Sacred Kingdom of Aquaria, then I shall persevere.
